health fund rebates for counselling & psychotherapy
At this point, most private health funds do not cover counselling
or psychotherapy, although this is a situation that is under review.
However, if your consultation also includes nutritional and/or herbal
treatment, you will be able to claim for this, under most health funds.
Please discuss this with me if you are unsure.
If you are a member of Medibank Private, you may be able to claim
a rebate for your counselling & psychotherapy sessions.
Medibank Private offers a 'package bonus' facility to its members
which includes any health-related services not otherwise covered.
Please note that the limit payable under this scheme is variable, depending
on the period of membership and the level of cover held.
