About Carole

” Shall I turn out to be the hero of my own life?”
- Charles Dickens from ‘David Copperfield’

Carole Kelly is a qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. She was born in New Zealand but has also lived in England and now, for the last 17 years, in Australia where she has worked in many different areas, including the corporate, financial, retail and healing industries.

Carole’s experience as a counsellor now extends over 30 years and in addition to various qualifications in counselling and psychotherapy, she also has diplomas in medical herbalism, aromatherapy, iridology and several modalities of bodywork. Her diverse background enables her to bring maturity and empathy to her approach as a therapist and allows her to draw on a wide range of skills, to help you reach your goals.

In addition to face to face individual, couple and family counselling, Carole is an experienced support group leader and telephone counsellor. She first started volunteer telephone work with The Samaritans (UK) in the 1970s and since moving to Australia, has volunteered with Lifeline as a face to face counsellor and the Child Abuse Prevention Service (CAPS), as a telephone counsellor.

Carole passionately believes that counselling & psychotherapy should be professional, effective and affordable. As a long term volunteer with many community support organisations, she is aware that too many people don’t seek the help that they need, because of financial constraints. It is her mission, to change that situation.
